Consensual sex between consenting adults should not be a crime – and in most of Australia it isn’t.
There is a compelling case for overturning existing sex work laws in South Australia. The archaic criminal laws attached to sex work cause harm; putting sex workers’ safety at risk by preventing them from reporting real crimes committed against them.
Previous attempts to decriminalise sex work have narrowly not succeeded, however the Greens have new legislation to decriminalise sex work with a bill to repeal current sex work offenses. We need as many voices as possible to make sure sex work is decriminalised this time around.
